CRAZY TOPS

I always enjoy doing a crazy top, and designing them for Wing basses is a fun challenge. Here are two that show the two different approaches to creating the cool patterns. The one on the top has one pattern that covers the whole top. It uses three different types of maple (burl, flamed, and blistered) along with contrasting purpleheart. The bottom photos show a bass with a pattern that has been bookmatched along with the body wings. It uses pomelle bubinga, walnut, yellowheart, and  figured maple.
