JPJ REDUX

Based very precisely on a bass owned by John Paul Jones, this was a modern take on a classic instrument. The most immediate outstanding feature is the amazing amboyna burl wood used for the front and back of the body. The core of the body is black walnut, while the neck is comprised of figured maple, bubinga, and wengee. The fingerboard is gaboon ebony. The electronics are made by Alembic. The use of minimal black hardware and trim adds an understated elegance to an otherwise flamboyant design.
